North Karnataka will become a new State one day said Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Umesh Katti in Belagavi.

Adding further he stated “Either, I will become the Chief Minister of North Karnataka State or my son will fill that position,’’.

Speaking to the lawyers the minister who has been advocating for a separate North Karnataka for many years added that after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections India will have around 50 states and this is the dream of PM Modi.

Uttar Pradesh will be divided into four States, Maharashtra into three and Karnataka into two States.

Sighting traffic issues in Bengaluru, Katti said that it takes him 90 mins to reach his office even when he stays very close to the Vidhan Soudha.

We are ready to form North Karnataka as we have the infrastructure like airports at Belagavi, Hubballi and the International airport at Kittur is also planned. The Suvarna Vidhan Soudha is already there in Belagavi.

  1. Time to tell this MLA that people like talking about developments, his contribution to BGM and it’s developments.
    His only agenda seems to be splitting Karnataka and making NK as his and his family fiefdom.
    Can he get elected from anyplace outside BGM district?
    Hope atleast his advisors take care of this loose cannon! BJP team, you are much better of offloading such cartoons from party.
