In the past week the Animal human interaction in Khanapur Taulka has seen an increase. The leopard attacked a man on Sunday in Chikhale, then bears attacked two men near the same place and now the Elephant which for the past 5 years enters the fields and destroys crops is back near Golihalli and Bailoor villages in Khanapur Taluka.
The Large single elephant destroys crops as if an herd of elephants just passed by and each year the same elephant sighted all alone comes and destroys the crops. The forest dept is keeping a close watch on the movement of the elephant it is told.
Something should be done by he forest officials 🙂
