One of the biggest recoveries of gold & silver ornaments recovered from accused involved in house burglary cases in Belagavi city & first of its kind in the last 5 yrs.
They were arrested by the Camp CPI Dharmati, Team with the help & guidance of Commissioner Dr. M.B. Boralingaiah, DCP Sneha, DCP Ravindra & the Commissionerate Team.
1. Prakash Patil(37) of Shahpur, Belagavi now residing in Goa
2. Mahesh Kalaginakoppa (37), of Khanapur, now residing at Vaibhavwadi, Sindhudurga, Maharashtra
The total recovery from them was
1.5 kg gold worth Rs. 75,00,000/-
4 kg silver ornaments worth Rs.3,00,000/-
This special crime detection team gathered accurate information and arrested the accused involved in house burglary cases
They were taken into custody from Ganeshpur and interrogated, the said accused admitted to stealing from a total of 22 houses in various parts of Belagavi city, Belagavi district and Dharwad district.
A total of 13 house burglaries (Belagavi Rural -2, APMC-2, Marihal-2, Khadebazar-1, Udyambag-1, Malamaruti-1 and Camp-4) of Belagavi city were involved in burglaries, where the accused stole and disposed of Rs.75,00,000/- worth of 1.5 kg gold, Rs.3,00,000/- worth of 4 kg silver, and Bajaj Donnier bike used for the crime was seized and legal action was taken against the accused and handed over to the Hon’ble Court.
Mr. Ningana Gowda Patil PI CCB, Mr. Prabhakar Dharmatti PI Camp, Pro.PSI Kirana Hoskatte, Srishail, Sardar Gowda and Sridhar Talwar, Mahesh Patil, Santosh Baragi, Amarnath, Mohan Aralagundi, Bharama Karegar, Yasin Nadaf, Mahesh Wadeyar worked tirelessly to bring to light a total of 13 daytime robbery cases in the city.
