Belagavi on Wednesday was overcast since morning and also chilly even at 12 PM and weather men say this is due to the cyclonic circulation is seen over Southwest Bay of Bengal and a trough is extending from the same along the Coastal Tamil Nadu. Besides this, a trough is seen in the Arabian Sea running along the coast of Kerala and Karnataka. Thus, humid winds from either side of the coast have been reaching Karnataka, creating favourable conditions for rain and mild thundershowers over the city.
It did rain very mildly in some parts of the city. But with the sun not shining the maximum temperature has dropped.
