In the BUDA (Belgaum Urban Development authority) meet held yesterday it was decided to allot a 3 acre plot for the police Commissionerate. For the time being once the same is established it would commence work from the SP’s office.
90 acres land would be acquired on Sambra road near Poddar school would be developed into a new colony.
20 hitech bus shelters would be constructed soon.
Sambra road has good fertile agricultural lands.. acquiring fertile agricultural lands for development is insane… example is vidhan souda .. how a beautiful/fertile agricultural village Halga turned into construction sites … Belgaum is already facing the fear of concrete jungle and with such plans i guess its going to be reality soon .. Such developments should be discouraged ..
