DGP Karnataka has appointed 7 senior IPS officers in charge to supervise & enforce Covid guidelines in 7 regions of the state. ADGP Railways Bhaskar Rao IPS have been given in charge of North Region Belagavi, Bagalkot & Vijayapura

In a message he has said –
All merchants associations, the apex body of Belagavi Chamber of Commerce which includes textiles merchants, hotel association, private bus fleet owners, trade commerce and industries, Weavers Association, Tum Tum associations, Belagavi Foundry Cluster, Belagavi district small scale industrial association, Government employees association, Residents Welfare Associations should be met with and involved in Masking, Sanitizing and maintaining Social Distancing Boxes.
Honga, Udyambag, Navge, Machche, Bemsil industrial Industrial units should be approached, by Joint Director, DIC and Pollution control board should coordinate with Labour department, factories and boilers departments and such other departments.
Each shop with around five people Should be sensitized to pandemic reaction.
Use local languages to create awareness through flexes and other advertisement materials about the pandemic. Put posters and banners everywhere with branding to seek external help.
Rotary,Lions, Giants,inner wheel clubs should all be involved together. They should in turn get their counterparts in other districts to coordinate with District.
All Private institutions and all other educational hubs in Belagavi should be involved.
Drug controller, All India Medical Association, Chemists and druggists Association, Wholesale drug Association, Oxygen cylinders Association, Ambulance owners, NGOs who have infrastructure like ambulances, oxygen cylinders, etc should be enthused to participate in this massive drive.
CSR and charity funds of all cooperative and commercial banks and industry can be encouraged.
All Gram Panchayat members, Presidents and associated people wield tremendous influence and should be asked to distribute masks FREE by going to every household in rural areas.
All petroleum companies in Belagavi, IOC, BPCLand HPCL etc, gas dealers who have access to every house should be asked to contribute towards spreading awareness
Ensure no mask no petrol rule.
Visit City bus stand and spread awareness about mask social distancing and sanitising and further ensure that the same message is carried out to smaller towns and villages through conductors and drivers.
NWKRTC, maxi cab, rickshaws and other modes of transport for public and involve them. Inform them not to take in passengers without masks.
Use funds present with departments and MP, DC chairman, MLA and other funds available to tackle this pandemic on an emergency basis.
