There was very little to no response to the bandh call given by the BJP in Belagavi. B S Yeddyurappa, had stated that the State wide Bandh on May 28 is not sponsored by his party but only supported against CM H D Kumaraswamy’s failure to announce farmers loan waiver within 24 hours of coming to power as promised by him during the election campaign.
Abhay Patil and Anil Benake the newly elected MLA’s protested at Chennamma circle and tried to form a human chain and blocked the traffic at the circle for a short while.
Police however took them into custody.
City buses, inter city bus, auto and traffic is normal. Businesses are open as usual.

Suggestion.
Instead of everyone shutting down, farmers should remove crops from their fields for 1 day.
