Belagavi residents eagerly anticipating the rollout of property tax payments from April 1st are facing uncertainty as technical glitches delay the launch of the online system. Offline property tax challans will now be issued from respective revenue zones starting Saturday, offering residents an alternative while they await the resolution of online issues, expected by Monday at the earliest.

Despite the hiccup, there’s a silver lining for prompt payers: those settling their property taxes in April stand to benefit from a 5% rebate.

Individuals interested in obtaining property tax challans offline can visit their designated revenue office within the Belagavi City Corporation. However, online payment options, including Paytm and the official website, remain inaccessible due to ongoing technical challenges.

The corporation’s official website for property tax payment, https://belagavicitycorp.org, is currently offline, but efforts are underway to restore functionality.

  1. As is usual very poor administration. They had 11 months, from April 2023-March 2024 to get software in order and test. Alas, fail. Yet no should be held responsible, as it is an Act of God. Hopefully all responsible will be promoted.

  2. Very poor administration. Hope concerned department acknowledges prompt payers 5% rebate after their website works due to the fault from their end. All citizens must raise their voice in this kind of matters.
