A new chapter in innovation and collaboration has begun with the launch of the Qmagna Innovation Hub at the Visvesvaraya Research and Innovation Foundation (VRIF), located at VTU Belagavi. This landmark event signifies a pivotal moment for industry and academia, setting the stage for future advancements.
The launch ceremony was graced by prominent figures, including Prof. Vidyashankar S., Chairman of VRIF and Vice Chancellor of VTU, VRIF Directors Dr. B.E. Rangaswamy and Dr. T.N. Sreenivasa, and Mr. Sachin Sabnis, Managing Director of Qmagna Technologies. Distinguished industrialists and a delegation from Udyog Bharati were also present, lending further prestige to the occasion.
In his address, Prof. Vidyashankar congratulated Qmagna Technologies and Mr. Sachin Sabnis on this milestone, emphasizing the transformative potential of the Work Integrated Learning Program (WILP) that will be facilitated at the new hub. He highlighted the initiative’s “Earn while they Learn” model, which will create a seamless link between academic learning and hands-on industry experience for students.
Prof. Vidyashankar also underscored Belagavi’s potential to become a leading manufacturing hub in India, particularly in the aerospace sector, aligning with the vision of Vikasit Bharat 2047. The establishment of innovation hubs like this one is essential for positioning Belagavi as a key player in advanced manufacturing and job creation, contributing significantly to India’s growth narrative.
