In November 2021, MLA Abhay Patil met with the Tourism minister to discuss the possibility of a ropeway project at Yallur Belagavi.
The government has proposed ropeway projects at 15 different tourist and pilgrim sites across the state, including Rajhuns Gad in Belagavi.
National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML) has been tasked with developing ropeways and other alternative forms of transportation. However, the list of proposed projects does not currently include Belagavi.
MLA Patil had previously proposed a cable car project from Aravalli Dam to Rajhans Gad Yallur, and in 2019, officials visited the site to inspect it. The cable car would cover a distance of 2 kilometers.
