The Rotary Pariwar of Belgaum which comprises all the six Rotary clubs in Belgaum city celebrated its Founder Rotarian Paul P Harris’s 145th Birth anniversary in a unique way on 19th April 2014, at Foundry Cluster Hall, Udyambag, Belgaum.
Rotary Parivar felicitated Five outstanding Leaders of Belgaum city from various fields like Education, Finance, Medicine, Industries and Sports. Paul Harris was an outstanding leader and statesman. To celebrate his Birth anniversary and to recognize the outstanding contribution by these leaders of Belgaum city, Rotary Pariwar of Belgaum is organizing this Award function. The Awardees were-
Dr Prabhakar Kore Chairman KLE Society for Education, He expanded KLE society from 38 institutions to 240 institutions.
Shri Kiran Thakur Chairman Emeritus Lokmanya multipurpose society for Finance. He started from one branch and now there are more than 150 branches throughout India
Dr Mahadev Dixit of KLE Heart Foundation KLE Hospital for Medicine and Health. Dr Dixit has operated thousands of patients from infants to elderly people and given them new Life.
Shri Ram B Bhandare for developing Foundry Cluster in Belgaum He developed the Foundry Cluster with the help of other foundry owners of Belgaum and brought Belgaum on International map
Shri Umesh Kalghatgi International swimming Coach in the field of sports. His students are champions at International level and brought laurels to Belgaum city.
