Saankhya Labs launches world’s first TV White Space Baseband Radio Module

Saankhya Labs(Founder & CEO is from Belagavi), a leader in the development of Cognitive Software Defined Radio (SDR) chips today announced the release of a high performance TV White Space (TVWS) baseband radio module for Base Station and Customer Premises Equipment. The module is powered by Saankhya’s award-winning Software Configurable Demodulator (SL100x) and Modulator (SL900x) chipsets. The module complies with the latest version of IEEE802.22 and White Space Alliance (Wi-FAR™) Standards and is targeted at fixed wireless broadband applications.sankhya labs

Founder and CEO at Saankhya Labs is Parag Naik who did his schooling from St.Pauls high school and then his engineering (CS) from Gogte Institute of technology (1992). Parag is a serial entrepreneur with over 22 years of industry experience, out of which 14 years have been in high technology startups. At Saankhya he has been the CEO since April 2014. He was the CTO and VP Marketing between 2007-2014 contributing to the product roadmaps and designing Saankhya SDR architecture. He is also a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to Saankhya he co-founded Smart Yantra technologies one of India’s first Video IP streaming companies in 2001 and Vayavya Labs India’s first Electronic Design Automation Company in 2006. Both companies are high technology product companies. Smart Yantra was acquired by Genesis Microchip in 2004. He has also held various techno-managerial positions at Ishoni Networks and Philips. He is a named inventor on 17 US and India patents in the areas of CPU/SDR architecture, Digital Communications, Signal Processing and Hardware-Software Co-design/ Code generators. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Karnatak University, India.

  1. It is good. But can the write up be written in a language explaining the technical jargon to a layman ? I guess AAB is run by techies so inherently write technical jargon. Please keep it simple.
