Samsung’s headquarters in Seoul has reached out to Belgaum based SenseGiz

One such startup, SenseGiz, which is based in Belgaum in north Karnataka, has drawn interest from Samsung for its gadget called Star that can control smartphones and do things such as call contacts, launch apps and take pictures. Like. Samsung’s smartwatch Galaxy Gear, the device can be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing. It can also serve as a pedometer and track the wearer’s quality of sleep.

Samsung’s headquarters in Seoul has reached out to SenseGiz to schedule a meeting to explore a partnership with the firm, said Abhishek Latthe, 25, who studied mechatronics at the University of Southampton in the UK.
 “Although the talks are in initial stages, we are positive the deal will happen after the product is launched,” said Latthe, who said Star, priced at Rs 6,600, will be shipped in the first week of May.
