On Wednesday, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated the Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna Sainik School and unveiled an attractive sculpture depicting the brave life of Rayanna. This sculpture has been built in a large area at Sangolli in Bailahongala taluk.
Committed to the Comprehensive Development of Sangolli, Nandagad: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah
During the inauguration of the Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna Utsav organized at Sangolli village of Bailahongal taluk, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah assured that the government is committed to the comprehensive development of Nandagad in Khanapur taluk. This is the place where Krantiveer Rayanna was hanged. He also mentioned that more funds will be allocated in the coming days.
To honor the memory of Rayanna, a hundred acres of land has been allocated to the authority responsible for the development of Sangolli and Nandagad. The construction of Sainik School, Shilpavan, cost 267 crores as a tribute to Rayanna, a true patriot, who should inspire the youth.
Currently, 230 students, including girls, are enrolled in Sainik School. The school aims to inspire patriotism among its students.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah emphasized the importance of adopting the love for our motherland, just like Sangolli Rayanna did. He urged everyone to set aside caste and religion and focus on developing patriotism.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah promised comprehensive development for Rayanna’s hometown, Sangolli, and Nandagad in Khanapur taluk.
He stated, “It doesn’t matter if we don’t become Sangolli Rayanna ourselves; we should all embrace his patriotism.” He also assured that additional funds will be allocated.
