An Educational And Motivational Visit Of 620 Students And Teachers from KV No 2 Belagavi, Cantonment Board High School, St Joseph School, Sainik School Amboli and Rashtriya Military School Belgaum was held at The Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre.
The aim of this outreach campaign was to familiarise young and impressionable minds of school going children with various options available to join Indian Armed Forces as Commissioned Officers.
During the visit the students were also given a glimpse of the training conducted for the Maratha Light Infantry recruits and soldiers. They also witnessed the attestation parade rehearsal of a passing out group of recruits. The visit included a motivational lecture cum presentation by an officer on avenues to join army and subsequently they were taken around to visit the Regimental Archives and Historical Section and Hall of Valour as well as also the training area where Maratha Light Infantry recruits were undergoing training.
