The body of Manohar Laxman Bhosale (65), a resident of Guruwarpeth Tilakwadi in Belagavi was spotted by passersby from Congress road on Friday morning.
The body of the deceased was seen hanging on under the Gogte Railway Over Bridge.
Police rushed to the spot and in association with the Fire Brigade and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team removed the hanging dead body.
After a brief investigation, the police sources said that Bhosale could have been mentally unstable and was undergoing treatment for the same. Depression is said to be the reason behind him to take the extreme step.
