A tweet made by StarAir takes Belagavi closer to one more destination and this time it looks like it is Ozar (Nasik).
Now the same has been confirmed with a story published by the Loksatta.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation has approved to start flights to Belagavi from Ojhar Airport in Nashik. StarAir will start operations from January 25 under UDAN.
The service will be available three days a week, Monday, Friday and Sunday. Timing however has not been disclosed.
This airline will be of great help to amateur and religious tourists traveling to Kolhapur and Goa.
Member of Parliament Nashik, Hemant Godse said that this would give a big boost to industry, business and tourism. This route will make it possible to reach Kolhapur and Goa in just one and a half to two hours by road from Belagavi. MP Godse has been pursuing this plan since its inception to connect Nashik to major cities across the country under the flight plan.
For the past few months, Ojhar Airport has been operating flights to Hyderabad, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore and Ahmedabad.
When we are connected to Nashik, Belagavi will direct flight connections to 11 cities.
One can already fly to Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Indore, Pune, Mysuru, Tirupati, Cuddappah, Surat, Ahmadabad, Mumbai.
