17th State-level Kalashree Award for talented children will be held in Belagavi city from February 7 to 10. The event Bal Bhavan, Bengaluru.
The event is being organised in north Karnataka for the first time.
Competitions in various fields of creative art forms, including creative writing, creative performing arts and scientific innovations, would be held. Schoolchildren aged between 9 and 16 were eligible to participate. Two students each of the 30 districts in the State would participate. The award carries a purse of Rs. 5,000, a citation and a memento. She said efforts would be taken to establish Bal Bhavans in all districts.
