The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) recently unveiled the summer schedule, revealing a surprising trend: Star Air, one of the two airlines operating from Belagavi, has reduced its flight frequency by 7 while increasing by 1. In contrast, Indigo maintains its existing schedule without any alterations.

Although the number of destinations served by Belagavi remains unchanged, Star Air has adjusted its flight frequencies.

Flights to Tirupati, previously operating 4 days a week, will now run only 3 days a week. Similarly, the Ahmedabad route, previously served daily, will now operate just 3 days a week. On the other hand, the frequency of Nagpur has been bumped up from 3 to 4 days a week. All-Star Air flights will utilize the smaller EMB-145 aircraft.

Despite these changes, non-stop flights from Belagavi to 10 destinations remain unaffected.

Indigo’s schedule remains consistent, with 2 flights to Bengaluru and one each to Hyderabad and Delhi. Notably, only the Delhi flight will be operated using an Airbus A320, while all other flights will be serviced by ATR and EMB-145 aircraft operated by Star Air.
