In a disturbing development, a threatening letter aimed at blowing up the Ram Mandir in Nippani, located in Belagavi district, has been discovered within the temple premises. The alarming letter was brought to light, prompting immediate action from the temple’s priest who promptly notified the authorities.

This incident comes amidst a surge in bomb threat cases across the state, including recent incidents in Bangalore where threatening emails and calls to the police have been reported. Just days ago, a bomb blast rocked Rameshwar Cafe in Bangalore, further escalating concerns over public safety.

The threat to the Nippani Ram Mandir is not an isolated event. Shockingly, this marks the second instance in the past two months where such menacing letters have been unearthed within the temple premises. Previously, a letter was discovered targeting the colossal Hanuman temple situated behind the Ram Mandir, adding to the gravity of the situation. Notably, these threatening letters are composed in Hindi.

Of particular concern is the concluding message within the letter, which ominously declares intentions to detonate the temple, accompanied by the phrases “Allah Hu Akbar” and “IMI.” In response to this grave threat, precautionary measures have been swiftly implemented, including the installation of CCTV cameras within the temple premises.

Law enforcement authorities wasted no time in conducting thorough checks at the site, and a case has been officially registered at the Nippani Police Station in connection with the incident.
