The Live Mint in a story mentions that, airlines’ plan for regional connectivity, capacity utilization in the Indian market, and an increase in the number of flights to Ladakh, Belgaum and Ranchi.

Ministry of civil aviation has called for a meeting with airlines chief executive officers (CEOs) on Friday to discuss and other issues related to aviation sector.

The main aim of this meeting is the setting up of an ombudsman to address passenger grievances.

On the specific Belgaum front we did not find any new connections from Spicejet for Belgaum upto October in SUMMER SCHEDULE 2013 (Effective from 31st March 2013 to 26th October 2013).

Currently there is a flight connecting to Bangalore every day and one can also reach Belgaum from Chennai directly by the same Spicejet flight but there is no direct connectivity on the return journey to Chennai.
