Belagavi Police have successfully solved the firing case of Shri Ram Sena District President Ravi Kokitkar.
Immediately after the incident occurred last night, Belagavi City Police Commissioner Dr. Boralingaiah formed four teams to investigate the matter.
After 18 hours after the incident, the police arrested three accused, preventing the case from taking a political turn.
The firing incident occurred between 7:30 and 7:45 pm yesterday evening. Abhijit Bhatkhande of the Shahapur area of Belagavi was one of the three persons arrested by the police.
Rahul Kodachwad and Jyotiba Mutgetkar are the other two who have been arrested.
It is believed that an old feud between Abhijit and Ravi Kokitkar was the reason behind the firing incident in Hindalga village.
Reportedly, Ravi Kokitkar assaulted Abhijit Bhatkhande at Shahapur police station a few years ago, leading to a case being registered.
