Toastmasters International provides a platform for people from all walks of life to improve and develop their communication and leadership skills (self-development. The organisation is set up as clubs locally, where members practice their public speaking skills with better speaking, better thinking and better listening.
KLS IMER has come forward to support starting a community club of Toastmasters International in Belagavi. Rajendra Belgaumkar, Dr. Kamalakar Achrekar and Prof. Shailaja Hiremath have initiated the initial meetings every Monday between 5 pm and 6 pm at KLS IMER, Belagavi.
The organisation is headquartered in the US and operates clubs worldwide. Organisers said, “The objective of our campaign was to sensitise the local community about the development avenues that Toastmasters provides.”
They have made an invite to all like-minded individuals to come forward to attend the initial meetings and experience the working of the club.
