Two Flying Training Organizations at Belagavi airport by year-end

Amber Dubey, Joint Secretary at Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India Congratulated Airports Authority of India (AAI) for successfully bidding out 8 slots at its 5 airports.

Belagavi airport is lucky to have TWO FTO – Flying Training Organizations sanctioned.

One FTO to M/S Samvardhane Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Bengaluru, and the other to M/S Red Bird Flying Training Institute, Delhi.

Team of M/S Samvardhane Technologies Pvt. Ltd visited the Site of FTO at Belagavi Airport recently and detailed discussions were held with the Airport director Shri Rajesh Maurya.

The results show that India’s long-term aviation story is intact. The aviators always bounce back, stronger than before.

The establishing of the Flying Training Organizations (FTOs) will be on Design, Build, Operate, Maintain and Transfer Basis (DBOMT).

It may be recalled that, then Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Jayant Sinha who had visited Belagavi in 2018 had suggested having flying clubs/ academies at the Belagavi airport so as to give diverse employment opportunities to the thousands of engineering and medical students studying at Belagavi to embark on a career in aviation.
