In a press briefing held by the Merchant Association of the Cantonment Vegetable market, the members said the Vegetable market won’t be shifted to APMC and they would continue to do regular business from the same premises near the Old PB road.
Also, a protest march would be organsied on Monday from 10 AM to DC office where all the members of the association, coolies, workers, and farmers will take part.
The shifting matter is only published in the newspapers but no intimation is given in writing to them. There are 230 shops here in this market, but in APMC it is about 130, so what about the other 100 members they raised a question.
If all the 230 members are accommodated then they could think of shifting.
Some newspapers have also published about imposition Sec 144, we are just businessmen and we will keep doing business here as we have done for the past 30 years.
The businessmen conveyed their best wishes to the new APMC market but said they will work here as usual and won’t go away from here.
That’s called true Unity.
IN fact the current Location (Raviwarpeth) is ideally suited for Vegetable Market
You cant expect the residents to go all the way to APMC especially those residing in Camp area and Tilakwadi and other closer to Raviwarpeth.
