Wearing of masks to be compulsory in Karnataka – Health minister

Basavaraj Bommai Chief Minister held a high-level meeting on Monday to review the latest pandemic situation, in view of the spike in fresh Covid cases in New Delhi and other north Indian states.

K’taka to order compulsory wearing of masks in public places & indoor events in the backdrop of possible #Fourthwave. However, no penalty on violation of rules as of now, according to the health minister.

Sudhakar appealed to the people to wear masks and follow Covid protocols to protect themselves from a possible fourth wave. People should get a second dose of the vaccine as well as a booster dose. Vaccination for kids aged above five years will be available soon.
