Invest Karnataka 2025, Profile- Belagavi, is the second-largest exporter of the state with a total GDP of INR 159.65 billion. The district devotes 48% of its land for cultivation of which pulses and cereals are the most important crops. Belagavi is also known for its fruits and vegetable cultivation, including staples like onion, tomato and potato. The district is home to India’s first notified Aerospace Precision Engineering and Manufacturing SEZ centre. Belagavi is the emerging hub for storage/cold storage infrastructure augmenting the agriculture sector and allied industries here.

  1. Many investments which are on paper and at snail pace must take shape and push by government- state / central
    Spilt of district for administration must take place for focused working/ accountability / development
    Since smart city investment is done , however the actions on cleanliness and reworking must take priority
    People/ citizens awareness on city upkeep and responsibility workshop and campaign required
    Government firm plan in industrial growth across all talukas- blue print required
