The Signature project of Swimmers Club Belgaum and Aquarius Swim Club Belgaum the 20th Free Swimming Coaching Camp for the Differently Abled and Under-privileged children was successfully conducted from 15th February 2022 to 20th March 2022 at KLE’s Suvarna JNMC Swimming Pool ( Olympic size) JNMC campus, Nehru nagar Belagavi. This camp was organized in association with KLE Society.
More than 40 children comprising of Mentally challenged, Visually challenged, Physically challenged, hearing challenged, Orphans and underprivileged children were taught the basics of swimming during this camp.
Further, these children were provided with free transportation, a swimming kit and a staple diet every day apart from free training to all the participants. The Cream of this coaching camp has been chosen for competitive training to prepare for the various competitions.
The closing ceremony was held recently, Dr. V A Kothiwale (Registrar, KLE Academy of higher education and research),Shri. C N Bembalagi ( President Maheshwari school for the blind) Belagavi graced the function as chief guest. Talented participants of this coaching camp demonstrated various skills learned during the camp. All the participants were honored at the auspicious hands of the chief guests. Auto drivers, teachers and swimming coaches were also honored for their services rendered towards the noble cause.
While speaking before the participants Dr. Kothiwale congratulated the organizers for their services rendered for the upliftment of Divyang and Downtrodden society and expressed his feeling saying the best program ever attended in his life.
