Sairaj Yuvraj Warriors enter finals of BCL

bcl belgaumSome great bowling by Sairaj Yuvraj Warriors ensured their team to enter the finals of P D Dhotre Foundation Belgaum Champions League Cricket tournament organized by Bhatkande Sports Academy being held at Union Gymkhana. The batsmen of Gold Museum Union Gymkhana put up a dismal show with the bat today after restricting Sairaj Yuvraj for a low score.

The first Qualifier was held today and Sairaj Yuvraj Warriors got the better of Gold Museum Union Gymkhana by 20 runs. This was their 8th consecutive win of the tournament. The Skipper of Gold Museum Union Gymkhana Ramling Patil invited Sairaj Yuvraj Warriors to bat first. Some good bowling by the spinners of Union Gymkhana and some rash strokes played by Sairaj Yuvraj Warriors saw them score 141 runs all out in 23.3 overs. Anirudh Joshi top scored with 42 runs with 3 sixes and 2 fours. Anirudh made full use of 2 reprieves he got from Union Gymkhana fielders. Imranali Sayyed scored 33 runs with 4 hits to the fence, Nagendra Patil scored 22 and Nitesh Hanamshet contributed 15 runs. At one stage Sairaj were going towards a big total but some fine bowling from the spinners union gymkhana retricted them to a gettable total. Left arm spinner Abhishek Sharma took 3 wickets, one of them was the prize scalp of Zeeshanali Sayyed.Deepak Chougule and Ramling Patil both picked up 2 wickets each and Wasim Hudli picking up one wicket.

In reply Openers of Gold Museum Union Gymkhana were off to a fantastic start 36 runs on board in the 5th over, but disaster struck as Gold Museum Union Gymkhana lost 3 wickets on the score of 36 runs. Darshan Patil was bowled by Zeeshanli Sayyed for 14 runs and Prashant Lainder was sent to pavilion by skipper Sachin Shinde for 17 runs, Govinda Gawade also was bowled by Sachin Shinde fopr a duck. There after Union Gymkhana lost wickets at regular intervals and their innings was folded for 121 runs in 23.4 overs. Skipper Ramling Patil was trapped in front by Sachin Salunke for a duck. Deepak Chougule tried to resurrect the innings but he to was sent back to pavilion by Nandkumar Malatwadkar for 29 runs. Deepak Narvekar scored 18 runs and Wasim Hudli contributed 14 runs. For Sairaj Yuvraj Nandkumar Malatwadkar Picked up 3, Zeeshanali Sayyed and Sachion Shinde picked up 2 each and Sachin Salunke and Akshay Juvekar picked up one wicket each.
