In a major Jolt to Karnataka State Cricket Association, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has rejected the move to start Karnataka Premier League.
The BCCI has ruled out to give nod to separate KPL twenty20 event on the lines of IPL.
Earlier, former Test skipper Anil Kumble and J. Srinath also slammed the KSCA decision to launch KPL.
Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has planned to start a Karnataka Premier League (KPL) with private franchise ownership of eight teams.
The Belgaum team was named as Belgavi Panthers and was a franchise of Subhash Enterprises. 2 rounds of selection of players was also done.
