On the first day of the new year when all were recovering from the party blues we had Hamdaan Khan in Gokak aged 8 who was preparing himself for a decent from the rocky hills of the Gokak falls. Hamdaan Khan, age 8 years studying in Std. second KLE Society’s English Medium School in Gokak was entitled as youngest person to rappel down the challenging Gokak waterfalls, at the event.
The event was extremely challenging and breath-taking experience for the participants who belonged to all ages, and included both men and women numbering 30.
The event was very thrilling and even the spectators were enthralled to see the rapplers come down 180 feet amidst the rocky cliff and the Ghataprabha river at the bottom.
Ayub Khan of Explore the Outdoors, Gokak said this could made into a rappelling spot in the state.
Good start for new year 🙂
