The curtains on the campaigning will come down at 5 pm today, and the police in a release has stated that it has taken all measures required for a free and fair elections on May 5.
SP Sandeep Patil said, there are 3659 polling booths in the district amongst them 560 are hyper sensitive, 930 are sensitive and 2169 are normal.
18 DSP, 29 CPI, 239 PSI, 3000 Police/home guard, 8 battalion of KSRP and 40 CRPF battalion have been forced into action and 24 hour check posts have been installed at various locations.
Mr.Patil has asked each one to go out and vote without any fear and said adequate security arrangements have been made at all polling booths and video recording would also be done.
