The Belagavi City Corporation (BCC) has completed the e-auction process for operating the Bapat Galli and Club Road parking lots, ending months of uncertainty surrounding the two facilities.
For the Bapat Galli parking lot, the highest bid of โน20.01 lakh was submitted by Vanita Vivekanand Patil, who secured the contract. The Club Road parking contract was awarded to Attar after a highest bid of โน4.01 lakh.
As per the tender conditions, the parking charges have been fixed as follows: โข
Bapat Galli: โน50 per four-wheeler for every three hours.
Club Road: โน20 per four-wheeler for every three hours.
The Corporation has directed contractors to prominently display the approved parking rates at the respective sites.
The latest auction marks a significant development after previous attempts ran into complications. An e-auction held in January had been completed successfully, but work orders were never issued. A second auction in April saw the Bapat Galli bid rise sharply to โน39 lakh, but the successful bidder failed to deposit the required amount, forcing the Corporation to cancel the process and invite fresh tenders.

The most recent e-auction, conducted on June 16, has now resulted in successful bids for both parking lots. However, the collection of the contract amounts and issuance of formal work orders are still pending, with the next steps from the Corporation being closely watched.
