Bittoo: There are strong rumours of senior Congress leader from Gokak and Minister for Municipal Administration Ramesh L. Jarkiholi joining BJP, thanks to the suspense he has created by not attending cabinet meetings and not using official facilities for quite some time now.
Bapu: Such rumours are not unusual during election year Bittoo. But, our contemporary politicians are most unpredictable and good at giving shocks and surprises! We are witnessing fresh cases of ‘Aaya Ram Gaya Ram’ these days.
Bittoo: Hummmmm! My worries are different Bapu.
Bapu: Oh, I see! What’s it about?
Bittoo: Suppose if really quits, then prospects Ashok Pujari, a long-time MLA aspirant who quit JD(S) and joined BJP before last assembly elections will be in jeopardy. He has been, rather unsuccessfully, contesting against Ramesh and was defeated yet again as a BJP candidate in the last assembly elections in Gokak.
Bapu: That’s true, a reason to worrry about for Ashok.
Bittoo: In such case, will Ashok quit BJP and join Congress Bapu?
Bapu: I don’t know Bittoo.
