Bittoo: These days, I strongly feel that politics is getting from bad to worst Bapu.
Bapu: What makes you feel so Bittoo?
Bittoo: Look at the latest the kind of attributes to Rahul Gandhi in social media wherein he is being projected as a bad omen. The anonymous author of remarks us virtually attributing deaths of tall leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, M.K. Karunanidhi, J. Jayalalitha to Rahul’s visits – to suggest that he is inauspicious. The author also hints at Lalu Prasad Yadav (presently in serving jail term in the fodder scam), which is now apprehensive of Rahul’s visit to see him in the jail. Apparently, the author seems to be wishing bad for Lalu Yadav?
Bapu: That’s bad indeed. I never expected politics to stoop down to such a low level.
Bittoo: Don’t you think some people are exploiting even the deaths of our tall leaders for political agendas Bapu?
Bapu: I don’t know Bittoo.
Bittoo: And, while Rahul is being projected as “pappu” and a weak person if any consequence, why is that there are so many tweets – ridiculing him in a defamatory manner being meticulously generated by anonymous authors and launched in social media which are further widely shared on daily basis Bapu? Can’t they look beyond Rahul and focus their wisdom, time and resources to find solutions to burning issues of the common man Bapu?
Bapu: I don’t know Bittoo.
This is a citizen-centric new column, wherein the author(Bitto) is an ordinary, politically unaffiliated common man of the city who in his/her inimitable approach takes up various issues with the Bapu’s soul! Apparently, the interaction between them portrays ironies of sorts encountered by the common man and others in the city in a lighter vein.
