This is a citizen-centric new column, wherein the author(Bitto) is an ordinary, politically unaffiliated common man of the city who in his/her inimitable approach takes up various issues with the Bapu’s soul! Apparently, the interaction between them portrays ironies of sorts encountered by the common man and others in the city in a lighter vein. Bittoo: I heard Belagavi city corporation has set up Disaster Management helpline numbers for the public?
Bapu: That’s correct. BCC has also released helpline numbers to which you may call in case of any monsoon-related problems.
Bittoo: What to do if calls are not taken at this helpline center Bapu?
Bapu: I don’t know Bittoo.
Bittoo: And Bapu.
Bapu: What else Bittoo?
Bittoo: What about problems arising out of their negligence and laid-back attitude towards the proper maintenance of roads, drains, open spaces repeatedly resulting in choking up and manifesting up into public nuisance?
Bapu: You are raising so many issues now!
