The cantonment area is said to the lungs of Belgaum, where one can get fresh air to breathe. But now the same Camp area has turned into a DUST zone as the work of water pipes is going on in full swing in the entire area.
Take any road for that matter it has been dug to lay the new pipes. Part of the Khanapur road from Fish market to Sanchayani circle which was is in dire straits has now been patched this was again due to the laying of water pipes.
Locals say that it is good that new pipes are being laid but what about the dust. Until the road again asphalted the dust will be there.
The rains are almost here and in this time the same wont be asphalted which will cause a lot of hardships as the loose mud on the roads would be very fatal as vehicles could skid.
Many morning walkers have also changed their routes due to the dust and road being dug.
A new garden is also being developed opposite the Coop. Registrars office on near Swamy Bakery corner. The Garden is still taking shape and also a water falls is being built with a walk way and trees would be planted during the monsoons.
At Bogarves circle a under ground drain is being constructed which was also a need as water from Vanita Vidyala would overflow on the road.
