The Belgaum Urban development authority has floated tenders for the erection of Shiv Shrusthi – to depict the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji at the Shivaji Garden in Shahpur.
In all three tenders have been floated for an amount of Rs.47,69,000 for the construction of 58 fiber soldiers and Fibre Murals and Megh Dambari which will showcase the life of the great king.
Tender submission closes end of July – and once work order is issued work must is estimated to be completed in 5 months at Shivaji Garden Shahpur.
The 58 fiber soldiers would be mixture of clay models of Shadu type with the help of materials like steel angles and all models would be of 6 feet height.
Fiber murals would be of the size 7 feet by 15 feet and there will be 15 of them in the Shiv Shrusti.
The main Megh Dambari would be of 10 feet height.
This is for those ppl who think yet Karnataka ppl make discrimination between language issues 🙂
What do the language chauvinist now have to say, will they construct similar kind of park in mumbai or pune for people belonging to other language.
Belgaum is truly multicultural with all kinds of right spice ingredients which makes it a beautiful city.
They should learn something from this and stop complaining with the Karnataka Govt. which is spending so much
