CM B S Yeddyurappa, gave a nod to the cost escalation of Suvarna Soudha from Rs.370 to Rs397 crores.
The estimated cost when the project began was Rs.230 crores but later was increased as the built up area was increased. Nearly 80% of the work is complete and the building is expected to be ready by October 2011.
The Task Force or Quality Assurance in Public Construction recommended to the government to make a downward revision in the total estimated cost from Rs 480 crore to Rs 391 crore.
