The Bangalore Hubli flight of Spicjet commences from tonight, and the Deccan Herald mentions that Spicejet will be commencing its operation from Belgaum soon and would connect Belgaum to Mumbai soon. Spicejet is using its Bombardier Q400 aircraft fleet which is a new turbo plane with 78 economy seating.
Recently in the last week of August, a team from Spicejet had visited Hubli and Belgaum to see all the facilities available. So its Hubli operations are commencing from September 27.
IXG the code by which Sambra, Belgaum is known to the world in the aviation industry now has been non operational for commercial use from November 20, 2011.
Absolutely terrific news for the people of Belgaum !!…………Hope the services keep running and dont go the KFA way ..
Excellent news!! I was hoping badly (hope against hope if you may say so!!) that this would happen and in my visit to India later this year I would be able to actually reach Belgaum as fast as I once used to..Nice!!
We need Belgaum to Bangalore flight as well.
not just bombay, we need flights to poona and sollapura as well.
THE QUESTION IS ” BUT WHEN”
As on 4-Oct-12, Spice Jet’s Booking site on the net does not have Hubli on its list.
I think it can be feasible in terms of capacity utilization if its a hopping flight like
Mumbai-Pune-Kolhapur-Belgaum-Hubli-Bangalore & vice-versa.
A 78 seater originating daily alone from Hubli or alone from Belgaum may not get full occupancy.
This is great news.
We need flight from Mumbai to Hubli and back to mumbai and
Mumbai to Belgaum and back to mumbai. Other wise It gets very difficult to travel in this sector.
But I agree..when will this start..
GOOD CO BUT DUE TO STOCK MARKET IN INDIA NOW A DAYS DIP DUE TO VARIOUS REASON FOR WHICH THIS STOCK PRICE TOO GRIND BY SOME ONE AT THE SAME TIME SOME ONE ACCUMULATE IT
FINALLY IT MAY GIVE GOOD RETURN
WAIT AND WATACH
