As many as Rs12 Lakhs looted from Bank of Maharashtra Kirloskar road branch from the cashier this morning.
A few people who were not locals came to withdraw cash and allegedly robbed 12 Lakhs and it came to light after 2 hours.
The 5 men distracted the staff and one entered cashier cabin and took away cash.
The incident came to light after almost 2 hours of the incident occurred. The police were called in and and investigation is on.
This branch was recently renovated and opened for the public last week.
Seems very professional job. They must have done a recce before.
They must be from neighbouring state and not local.
A similar incident of theft from cashier’s cublicle took place about 2 years back at SBI Govt Estate Branch in Belagavi. An FIR was then lodged with Dist Court Police. CC TV footage was made available to police. Till date, no one seems to have been arrested.
