17 persons held for last night’s stone pelting at Kamat Galli

Acting swiftly the Market police station has held as many as 17 persons in connection with the stone pelting at Kamat galli on Sunday night.

Tension prevailed in some parts city on Monday after a group of miscreants hurled stones at Alavan galli in Shahapur police station limits on Sunday night. Also stone pelting was reported from Kore Galli.

The police have made arrests only in case of Kamat galli and are searching for the miscreants who pelted stones in Shahpur.

abhayFormer MLA Abhay Patil laid a siege to Shahpur police station demanding action against the miscreants, who were involved in stone pelting incident last night.

They blocked the road and were protesting for the arrests of the culprits.

This is a major incident after the one which occurred in Bhadkal Galli during November end.

Similar stuff happened during Champions trophy 2017 when India beat Pak in the first game of the tournament and at 1.50am at night stones were pelted on cars and rickshaws.. ever since then many of such stuffs are happening. In that case I think Pak lovers did it and in this case don’t know who is doing it!!
