This year, coinciding with the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Karnataka has opted to showcase the historic Belgaum Congress session chaired by Gandhi.
This was the only session where Gandhi chaired the Session.
This year’s theme is based on Gandhi and hence all the states have been asked to showcase tableau on the same.
The Defense ministry picked up Karnataka’s design of the historic 1924 Belgaum Congress to be part of the RD parade.
