Kanishka & Shourya, the two TIGERS have arrived at the KRC mini Zoo from Mysuru.

They would be kept in quarantine for a few days before they would be let out in the safari park area.

Any new animal brought in a zoo needs to be quarantined for certain period of days. Later on it will be housed in the safari enclosure which is big enough for tigers.

Already 3 Asiatic lions Nakula, Krishna and Nirupama have arrived in KRC mini zoo and Naukla is open for public viewing through the special glass pane.

      • Most of these tigers were wild but end up in villages feeding domestic animals. Once they harm human settlements for easy prey, that’s when they are captured & rehabilitated into zoos.
Sad that their freedom is lost forever or they will be poisoned by villagers or poachers.

  1. I can never understand what’s the plan of Central Zoo Authority for animals? Here at Indore Zoo, we witness lots of scheduled animals are caged. Why don’t they think of increasing wild area and the tigers live peacefully in their own places.
