3 arrested for robbing 4 Crores, 1.63 Cr Ornaments from BDCC Murgod branch

Thieves were able to loot Rs. 4.37 Crore cash and ornaments worth Rs 1.63 crore on 06/03/2022 from a branch of the Belagavi District Credit Cooperative Bank (BDCC) Murgod branch.

Today the District police have been able to crack the case and have arrested 3 accused in this connection.

One of the accused is a clerk in the same bank.

Basavraj Hunshikatti aged 30 – Clerk at the Murgod Branch

Santosh Kambar aged 31

Girish Belwal aged 26

The police have also recovered 4,20,98,400 in cash and 1,63,72,220 worth gold/silver ornaments weighing over 3 kgs.

Also the car and the motorcycle used for the crime has been seized.
