Belgaum International Short Film Festival (BISFF) has evidently established its name across the world. BISFF organised by Society of Artistic Vision is continuously progressing since the last 3 years and will be organised on the 21st & 22nd December 2019.

INOX on Saturday 21 December and Lokamanya Rangamandir on Sunday, 22 December 2019
“Exemption Certificate” from Ministry of Information & Broadcasting”
As we took a step higher this year, BISFF has received “Exemption Certificate” from the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
58 Films from across the world to be screened
The number of short films to screen is on an increase consistently. This year we received nominations of over 180 short films from 40 countries. After a carefully deliberation by the screening committee and strict Jury process, 58 short films from across the world will be screened during the 2 days of the event.
20 short films will be screened on Day 1 at INOX between 3.00 pm to 9.00 pm and 38 short films will be screened on Day 2 at Lokamanya Rangamandir between 10.30 am to 7.30 pm
Apart from short films by Indian film makers, films from U.S.A., Germany, China, Middle Eastern countries will be screened this year.
Opening Film: the WALLET in which Naseeruddin Shah is key cast.
Closing Film: Wind Through Holes, Srilankan Short Film.
WRITHALON: This is the first time that a competition for the writers of Belagavi is organised. The writers selected through this contest will be covering the event on both the days and write blogs about the movies screened, interactive sessions and their personal connect with the medium of movies. A great opportunity for fresh writers to build their portfolios.
Chief Guests:
Jitendra Joshi & Umesh Kulkarni Will be opening and closing the Film Festival.
Jitendra Joshi Celebrated actor and a known face from Netfilx’s Sacred Games, Tukaram, Natasamrat, Ventilator etc. He will be accompanied by Umesh Kulkarni, a national award winning director who has Directed films like Waloo, Vihir, Deool and founder of Arbhat Film Club, Pune.
Snippet Sessions
National award winning Film maker Swapnil Kapure, and Young filmmaker from Belgaum, Harshad Nalawade have been invited as Guest Speakers to conduct live interactive sessions with film makers and film enthusiasts on Sunday 22nd December at Lokmanya Rangmandir (Ritz Theatre).
“Glittery Awards Night”
Short films were invited in 3 categories; Open, Children and Studio 5.O. Illustrious Jury comprising of Rahul Desai, Venkat Amudhan, Manohar Joshi, Swapnil Kapure and Ananyabrata Chakraborty, will select TOP 3 films in Open and Children Category and TOP Film in Studio 5.O category along with individual awards for Best Director, Best Cinematographer, Best Editor & Best Sound.
