The State e-Governance department, the registrar to enroll residents for issuing the unique identity number in Karnataka, has decided to conduct enrollment at your doorsteps.
All those who can identify themselves as a community like a apartment, a colony, resident welfare associations or private organizations with a member strength of 100 above would be able to approach the department to ask for a separate UID Aadhar card enrollment counter at their premises.
In Belgaum the work has been outsourced to Glodyne Technoserve Limited and the government is paying Rs.41.50 for every successful enrollment.
Request for a community centre can be placed at [email protected]
Currently this will being implemented in Bangalore only and same would be done in Belgaum as well, but a bit later however you could email and get clarifications.
The response to the enrollment has not been upto the mark as one has to go thrice to get the card done and many say this is the biggest hindrance. Once you go to get the form then for the token and then for the actual enrollment. This is almost a year long procedure and one need not rush for the same but all are advised to get the Aadhar card done.
