Administration gears up to combat HINI

One H1N1 positive patient was diagnosed in Nippani town recently, who is recovering now has made the District administration to gear up its operations to fight the virus.

District administration has come into action for preventing the spread of H1N1 virus and being taken different precautionary measured in this regard. District administration has instructed health officials to open separate wards at each taluk and district hospitals for H1N1 patients and make adequate storage of required drugs. DC N Jayaram has instructed health department to open control room at each taluk and district level government hospitals. He also asked to take extensive awareness programmes on H1N1.
Health department has turned very cautious and began taking swabs of the doubtful patients suffering from severe cough and head ache, fever along with omitting and loose motion. Swabs are sent to the Manipal Hospital for testing and it required minimum two days to get report.
