Airports Authority of India Team visits Belagavi Airport

Preparations for the inauguration of the new terminal building of Belagavi Airport were reviewed by Dr. Guruprasad Mohapatra, Chairman of Airports Authority of India and Member (Planning) Sudhir Raheja.

They said AAI is fully committed to the inauguration of the terminal building of Belagavi Airport very soon.
The AAI team also included Sanjeev Jindal General Manager (Engineering) and Charulata Deputy General Manager (Architecture) who took stock of the new Terminal Building and Technology at Belagavi ATC.

aai-visitThe two officials together with the Airports Director, Belagavi Rajesh Maurya and engineers of Belagavi Airport, Mohammed Qasim, Anil Srivastava, Umesh Sharma and TC Campbell and the CNS officials and working agencies together reviewed all the areas of the airport.

The terminal will be adored with Paintings made local artists as well as national noted painters.

Passenger amenities were also reviewed at the terminal building like refreshments, arrangements being made available for their seating.

The AAI team praised the local team for getting the work done on time and within its target time period.

At present, the work of the Check-in counters, CCTV cameras and Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS) are in full swing, which will be completed within a week.

The date for its opening is currently under consideration of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and as soon as the date is finalized.

  1. Its really grt to hav international airprt in belgavi… Cause many ppls need to spend tleast a nightin busor car watever it is to reach engalore or mumbai airport fr iterational flights. It would b a really happiest new if v fnd interatioal air port in belgavi. Most of d ppl lik frm bijapur huli nipani chikkodi kolhapur dharwa karwar galag gularga n many more cities dnt hav nearest int. Airport, kanataka n indian govt. Has to think on ds..
