Ashok Arjun Patil awarded police medal for his meritorious service

864 personnel have been awarded police medals on the occasion of the Independence Day this year.  President’s Police Medals for Gallantry have been awarded to 06 personnel, Police Medals for Gallantry to 132 personnel, President’s Police Medals for Distinguished Service to 87 personnel and Police Medals for Meritorious Service  to 639 personnel.

Ashok Arjun Patil from Border Security Force, received a police medal for his meritorious service who did his schooling from Belgaum military school, bachelor’s degree from R L Science Institute Belgaum and Master’s from Karnataka university Dharwad. He hails from village Chikhle in Kanapur Taluka.
Ashok joined the BSF (Border Security Force) in 1989 as a Assistant commandant and currently is working in Bangalore training centre as chief instructor.
